Toll Rates

Toll Rates
Pricing is based on passenger and commercial vehicle classifications, the number of axles and vehicle height. Designed to offer tailored pricing and savings through the Breakaway electronic toll program, every traveller will have an opportunity to cross quickly, confidently and cost-effectively.

Small and medium-sized vehicles include most passenger cars, SUVs, minivans, motorcycles and light-duty trucks under 2.3 metres/7.5 feet. A flat rate will be added to the trip if a vehicle is pulling a small trailer with the same Breakaway discount applied.

To ensure a correct toll rate is applied, passenger vehicles with items mounted to the roof should use an Attended Toll Lane to pay for their travel. All payment methods, including Breakaway tags, are accepted at Attended Lanes.

Large commercial trucks, buses, RVs, vehicles towing fifth wheels and taller passenger vehicles over 2.3 metres/7.5 feet will be charged per axle.

Vehicles transporting dangerous goods/hazardous materials or oversized loads have a separate classification. These vehicles will have a standard toll per axle and may face additional fees based on special handling and added safety considerations.
Rates are available in Canadian and US dollars offering convenience and flexibility for drivers with a Breakaway account or paying in cash. For debit or credit card transactions at the toll lane, the Canadian rate will apply and is subject to bank exchange rates at the time of crossing.
The multi-use path will be toll-free and includes one lane that will accommodate two-way pedestrian and cyclist traffic.
All toll rates are subject to change and US rates may be adjusted at the time of opening, based on current exchange rates.
