Toll Lane Experience

The Gordie Howe International Bridge has advanced toll lane technology that offers different payment options and easy-to-read signage to keep traffic moving, wait times low and your journey seamless so you can cross with confidence.

Toll Lane Experience

The toll lanes at the Gordie Howe International Bridge are managed to optimize traffic flow, reduce queue lengths and save time. With lanes designated by vehicle type and payment method, there will always be a lane that suits your individual journey.

How do you know what lane to use? Electronic signs above each lane display two icons – one for vehicle type and one for payment method – that help you choose the correct lane. You will use the lane that depicts both your vehicle type and your preferred payment method. Here is what each icon means so you can make safe, informed decisions and enjoy a smooth crossing experience.
